The Casting Firm is one of the nation’s most prominent unscripted casting companies and was founded in 2010 by veteran casting directors Goloka Bolte & Ethan Petersen. They’ve received 2 Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, both years since the category was created.
The Firm specializes in new series development, celebrity booking, host & expert casting, competition and game show contestants, reality participants & more. Ethan & Goloka make a powerhouse team – with a combined 30+ years of experience in the business, they’ve cast over 150 projects and built a stellar reputation as hard working dedicated professionals. They’ve booked talent for multitude of hit series and programs such as RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Grammy Awards, Sweet Home, Let’s Make a Deal, the Million Dollar Listing franchise, Millionaire Matchmaker, MasterChef, American Idol: Idol Gives Back, Hell’s Kitchen, Swamp People, and many more.
From large scale newsworthy television events like the mass “Same Love” wedding with Madonna at the Grammys, to finding off-the-grid characters, dynamic hosts, over the top personalities or “needle in a haystack” stories, the Casting Firm has a proven track record of finding outstanding and memorable talent for almost any kind of project.
A Los Angeles native, Ethan Petersen is no stranger to the entertainment industry. At an early age he followed in his fathers footsteps in front of the camera, but he quickly discovered that his passion lied behind the scenes. Whether finding reality participants or booking celebrities like Lady Gaga and Fergie to guest star on his projects, Ethan is well rounded in all aspects of casting.
Ethan has been fortunate enough to work with the top producers in the business. He has served as Supervising Casting Producer on such hit shows as NBC’s Average Joe 2 through 4, Americas Most Talented Kid, Who Wants To Marry My Dad, CBS’s Let’s Make A Deal with Wayne Brady, Cartoon Network’s Hole In The Wall, Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, Launch My Line, The Fashion Show, and Manhunt. Ethan has also worked directly for the Bravo Network’s development team as their Freelance Talent Director.
Goloka Bolte started out at the age of 19 as an entrepreneur, launching and running an international luxury travel company. Having traveled and lived around the world, Goloka has a sophistication and breadth of international experience rarely found behind the scenes, and brings a unique perspective to the business.
Her first foray into casting was in 2003, when she was hired to cast season 2 of FOX’s megahit reality series Joe Millionaire. With broad experience over the different genres, Goloka has cast hit shows such as FOX’s MasterChef, Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, Millionaire Matchmaker, as well as VH1’s Tough Love and ABC’s Wife Swap, to name a few. Whether supervising a major network game show or working directly with network executives to develop shows around undiscovered talent, Goloka’s work ethic, versatility, dedication, and eye for talent are unmistakable.
